TCCCS of Greater Dallas Partners with Head Start of Greater Dallas to Offer Financial Education to 4,500 D/FW Families Non-profit financial education agency receives grant from Citibank Foundation to educate Head Start staff and area families on key financial skills
Dallas - September 20, 2010 - Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Greater Dallas (CCCS of Greater Dallas), a non-profit provider of credit and housing counseling and financial education, announces its partnership with Head Start of Greater Dallas to offer free financial education to the 4,500 families it serves in the Dallas area. CCCS of Greater Dallas has received funding to support its efforts from Citibank Foundation.
The CCCS of Greater Dallas education team wrapped up training with the Head Start staff in early September and will begin conducting free seminars for families the last week of September. The seminars will be offered monthly at 11 high-volume Head Start locations across the Metroplex. Additionally, CCCS of Greater Dallas curriculum and education courses will be available to all Head Start families via webinars and special education events at Head Start's headquarters, located at 3954 Gannon Lane in Dallas.
The financial education classes will run throughout May 2011, with topics covering banking, budgeting, understanding credit, establishing financial goals, setting savings plans, the process to homeownership and the financial impact of having a baby.

The Citibank Foundation has supported several CCCS of Greater Dallas initiatives, including a grant for the agency to offer free financial education online via live webinars. Class schedules are available at www.cccs.net/webinars.
