CCCS of Greater Dallas and U.S. Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson host Homeownership Preservation Workshop
WHO
Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Greater Dallas (CCCS of Greater Dallas), a nonprofit provider of housing, credit, and financial counseling and education, American Home Mortgage Servicing Inc., Saxon, Wells Fargo, HSBC, Chase and Bank of America, and U.S. Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson.
WHAT/WHY
As a member of the DFW Home Ownership Preservation Enterprise (DFW HOPE) partnership, CCCS of Greater Dallas is hosting a free homeownership preservation workshop in conjunction with U.S. Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson in recognition of National Homeownership Month.
Attendees will receive counseling on mortgage payments, learn about home retention programs, such as Making Home Affordable and have the opportunity to meet with HUD-approved counselors, as well as mortgage servicers.
Attendees should bring the following documents to the workshop:
Latest mortgage statement
Two most recent months of paystubs (if self-employed, a quarterly profit-and-loss statement)
Hardship letter explaining reason for default
One month of most recent bank statement
Budget break-down explaining monthly expenses
Request for modification, available on www.makinghomeaffordable.gov
2009 Income tax return and W-2 Forms
