Dallas - May 18, 2010 - Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Greater Dallas (CCCS of Greater Dallas), a nonprofit provider of free housing and credit counseling and education, is offering more than 60 free webinars throughout May and June to promote financial education.

CCCS of Greater Dallas began free financial education through webinars in honor of Financial Literacy Month during April 2010. The pilot program, sponsored by CitiBank, reached more than 1,000 individuals throughout the country. Because of the webinars' success, CCCS of Greater Dallas is now focusing on adapting all of its curriculum to webinar format for greater efficiencies and expanded outreach.

The new webinars will focus on a number of personal finance topics including information on recession proofing your finances, understanding the CARD Act, credit scores, preventing identity theft, basic money management, budgeting and savings goals, foreclosure prevention, as well as financially preparing for a wedding, baby and the purchase of a home. A full schedule is available below and at www.cccs.net/webinars.

"We are excited to make our financial educational outreach more accessible to consumers through this online format," said Todd Mark, vice president of education for CCCS of Greater Dallas. "These free, live webinars will allow people to take advantage of resources that will help them make smart financial decisions throughout their lives."
